How to patch my Resident evil 4 so that it will work?

I have installed Resident evil 4 and i clicked the launcher but nothing happened, it didn't show anything. My friends said that i have to patch it or i have to copy the crack of it but i didn't find any crack on the cd. So, my questions are how can i patch my Resident evil 4?Where i can download it?I need a complete details and info plsss....Thanks!
